Settings

Settings holds everything that applies to Nawa as a whole: how it looks, which models it uses, what it may do without asking, and which services it can reach. Open it from Edit → Settings… in the title bar, or press Ctrl+,. Manage connectors in the composer's connector menu opens it on the Connectors tab. The tabs down the left side each have their own page here:

Tab	What it holds
General	Theme, transcript detail, completion sound, location, permissions, updates, remote access, documentation and diagnostics
LLM / Image gen	The language model setups and their roles, image generation, fast decisions, and when context is compacted
Budgets	Limits on agents, progress timeout, context and output size, and document size
Web	The Brave Search key that web search uses
Connectors	Google and Microsoft accounts, tool connections (MCP servers and plugins), and what each tool may do
Memory	Your standing profile and the notes Nawa proposes in conversations

How changes are saved

There is no Save button. A switch or a list choice is saved as soon as you change it; a text field is saved a moment after you stop typing. A few things save their own way: About you on the Memory tab has a Save profile button, a local server's Name is saved when you leave the field or press Enter, and Location is remembered by this device rather than your account. Keys you paste are stored encrypted in your account and are not shown again in full.

Most changes apply to the next message you send. A chat that is already running keeps the settings it started with.

A tab you may not see

A Directory tab appears only when Nawa stores chats as files, such as a development copy run from source. The Windows app keeps chats in its database, so it does not show that tab.

The screenshots on these pages come from a test copy of Nawa with no real account or keys, so names, versions and model lists differ from yours. For every field name and its shipped default, see the technical Settings fields reference.
