Ask Nawa from Explorer and use location

In Windows Explorer, select one or more files, right-click and choose Ask Nawa. On Windows 11 this entry is under Show more options. The installed shell integration is required; a development browser page alone does not register it.

A compact input window opens with the selected files. Review the attachments and any unsupported-file message, type the request and send. Nawa opens the conversation with the prompt and file icons and begins processing. A new chat's first prompt should run immediately, not wait in a prompt queue.

If the menu is missing, check that you ran the Windows installer for the current user, rather than only copying application files. Do not repeatedly send from Explorer while attachment preparation is still underway. Ordinary in-app attachments are an alternative.

Current location

Open Settings → General → Privacy and permissions → Location:

• Ask each time requests your consent when a task needs location.
• Allow when needed permits a lookup for relevant requests.
• Off disables device location for Nawa.

This setting belongs to the device. Location is checked when needed, rather than saved as a permanent home address or continuously tracked. Approximate location is shared with your selected AI and search provider; precise location needs separate permission. Readings remain in that request's history, not your saved profile.

While traveling, ask “Find shops near me using my current location.” If Windows cannot provide a fix, or the approximate reading is too broad, tell Nawa your city or neighborhood. A location reading can be imprecise; confirm the area used in its answer before relying on the recommendations.
